Metro Competition

The Baltimore Washington Eagles Football Club organizes an intra-club competition each year.  This competition is referred to as Metro Footy.

The club divides it’s players geopgraphicly into 3 independent teams.  Those teams are based in:

  • Baltimore
  • Washington DC
  • Northern Virgina

The Metro competition is played across fields in Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Baltimore.  Each Metro game is played on a smaller field as teams are usually made up of between 12-16 players.  Apart from a smaller playing field, all other rules are the same as a standard game of Australian Rules Football.

Metro games are a great way to learn the rules, develop skills and familiarise yourself with the game.  The games are for all skill levels, all ages. Each year the Metro competition is a keenly fought contest between the Baltimore Bogans, Washington Generals and the NoVa Hams.
